Gymnastics

for CrossFitters

Work smarter, not harder.

Physics and mechanics should be the basis for the skills we train. The goal is to apply knowledge of these elements to coach energy efficient movement patterns that count by our sports’ standards, are safe, reproducible, and consider the common range of motion CrossFitters typically have. It’s about working smarter, not harder.

How does this work?

You and I schedule a date for a one or two day gymnastics seminar. I charge a (reasonable) flat fee that allows room for you to financially profit. I work out all the travel logistics, you advertise to your and your neighboring communities for the event, I get paid at the conclusion of the event and you keep the profits beyond that.

The goal is that we create a win-win-win scenario: I get to travel to meet amazing people and help them reach their goals; you can opt to make a profit while learning new training techniques for yourself and your coaching staff; and the attending athletes get to learn the simplest, most methodical and understandable ways to train their gymnastics skills from a fun-loving and friendly coach!

With your seminar we also schedule a free coach’s training day (up to 3 hours), and all attendees receive a take-away package of skills, drills and tutorials to continue their education on their gymnastics journey.

Again, we all win.

How are these gymnastics seminars different?

As I mentioned at the top of this page, I coach based on physics and mechanics. Though I have been coaching gymnastics since the age of 15, I am completely aware that this is CrossFit, and CrossFit is not gymnastics. For example, hollow body holds are a great exercise, yet have little to no value in the movements we perform. When was the last time you saw a static hollow body hold in competition? It’s a great exercise indeed, but not applicable to these dynamic kipping movements.

What I coach is relevant and to the point, and that’s the difference. All things I coach are physics and mathematics based, and honestly, they are just the easiest way to safely perform skills.
